VCA has established an institutional partnership with Barcellos Tucunduva Advogados (BTLAW), a Brazilian law firm based in São Paulo.
In recent years, we have seen significant growth in demand for legal solutions that bridge the Portuguese and Brazilian contexts, whether from companies with a presence in both countries or from private clients with cross-border interests. This partnership was created to respond to this reality in an integrated, local and close manner.
Barcellos Tucunduva Advogados is a law firm with 70 years of experience and recognised for its personalised and multidisciplinary legal advice to companies, individuals and families. The firm has extensive experience in corporate law, with an emphasis on corporate and capital market structures, international transactions, succession and tax planning, and regulatory advice to the Central Bank of Brazil and the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission.
VCA and BTLAW maintain their full autonomy, but will now share resources and physical presence: BTLAW will be able to welcome clients at VCA’s office in Lisbon, and VCA will do the same at BTLAW‘s office in São Paulo.
More than a strategic agreement, this partnership reflects a relationship of mutual trust and a shared vision of the role of lawyers in advising clients with increasingly global profiles and operations.
The collaboration will enable coordinated action focusing on international succession planning, asset structuring, taxation, corporate law, real estate and dispute resolution.
