Mariana Barradas has a solid background in the legal field, both academically and professionally. She completed her law degree at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon in 2013. She then went on to specialise, obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Animal Law from the same university, and a Master’s Degree in Business Law, concentrating on Labour Law, from ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, in 2018.
Professionally, her career began at Pereira Mouta Mendes & Associados, where she completed her traineeship at the Bar, and later moved on to become a lawyer. Here, Mariana focused on Insolvency and Credit Recovery, involving the preparation and management of Insolvency Proceedings (individual and collective), Special Proceedings for Settlement of Payments (PEAP), Special Proceedings for Revitalisation of Companies (PER), debt negotiation, credit recovery, Executive Proceedings, and Tax Foreclosures, as well as team management. In 2022, she moved to ASA Advogados, where she practised in various legal areas, both as part of the firm and in individual practice, until 2023. At the beginning of 2023, she worked at Enes Cabral & Associados, where she focused on labour law.
In November 2023 Mariana joined VCA as a member of the Dispute Resolution department, where she contributes to the areas of civil litigation, credit recovery and insolvency proceedings.
