Rita Maia is a member of VCA’s Civil Litigation Department since March 2022.
Rita began her career as a paralegal at ERSAR, focusing on water supply regulations and addressing various legal issues in the water supply and waste management sector.
Her bar association internship started in 2016, working with two lawyers in individual practice, where she worked on criminal, administrative, and family law cases, gaining hands-on experience and actively contributing to her cases.
From 2018 to 2022, Rita worked at Pereira Mouta Mendes & Associados, handling civil litigation, insolvency, company recovery, executive law, tax litigation, and economic criminal law.
Since joining VCA, Rita has continued to expand her legal expertise, contributing to areas such as civil litigation, mass litigation, credit recovery, and insolvency proceedings.
