The period to submit the personal income tax return for the year 2021 begins today, April 1st, and ends on June 30th, 2022. The declaration must be filed and submitted through the Portal of the Portuguese Tax Authority.
This declaration is mandatory for:
- Tax residents in Portugal (including NHR) who obtain income in Portugal and/or abroad;
- Tax residents in other countries who obtain income in Portugal.
