Sofia Quental – Partner

Partner of the Private Wealth and Tax Department, Sofia has been working with VCA since 2015 and was, for nine years, a tax consultant at PwC, in Lisbon, Dublin and Madrid, where she carried out Tax planning and consulting on VAT and IRC for international groups. She holds a degree in Law from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa and two postgraduate degrees: in Tax Law (from the Instituto Superior de Gestão de Lisboa) and in Theory and Practical Tax Law Litigation (from the Institute for Economic, Financial and Tax Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon). She is a tax arbitrator at the CAAD – Administrative and Tax Arbitration Court of Lisbon. namely in matters related to Income Tax, Value Added Tax and International Tax Law.

Marta Valadas Coriel – Partner

Joined VCA in 2012, managed the Credit Recovery Department and is now a partner at VCA, with a relevant role in the Real Estate Department, one of the fastest growing in 2021. She has extensive experience in matters relating to Civil, Commercial and Criminal Litigation, as well as in matters related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). She took the Law Management Programme at Instituto de Empresa in Madrid. She holds a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

Ana Santos Fontes – Managing Associate

Managing Associate of the Nationality Law area, Ana has been with VCA since 2007, in the departments of Civil, Criminal and Administrative Offenses. She has considerable experience in matters related to Litigation, in the area of tenancy and foreigners’ law. She holds a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and a post-graduate degree in Business Law from the Institute of Labour Law of the University of Lisbon and and various courses in fields of preference.

Cláudia Cardoso – Managing Associate

One of the Managing Associates of the Immigration Department at VCA, responsible for the Real Estate and Investment areas. With the firm since 2018, she also collaborates on a regular basis with the Department of Corporate Law. She has extensive experience in matters related to Corporate and Commercial Law, Civil Law and Real Estate Law. She hods a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and has a postgraduate degree in Business Law from ISCTE.

Sarah Lopes – Managing Associate

One of the Managing Associates of the Immigration Department at VCA, responsible for the teams that accompany clients in the D7, D2 and Golden Visa programmes. She joined the firm in 2020. She holds a degree in Law from the Catholic University of Pernambuco/Brazil in Tourism and from ASCES-UNITA (Centro Universitário Tabosa de Almeida)-Pernambuco/Brazil, in Law. She is registered with the Brazilian Bar Association and the Portuguese Bar Association.
